Hello! How are you today? I am tired but doing just fine. Sit down, let's chat a minute. I wish we could chat. I have been snow bound for more days than I like! Yes, snow day 2 got the better of me and I did not have time to post a blog yesterday.
So, let me ask you a question... What is your waking dream? Now not the dream for your family, your kids, your spouse or anyone else. What is YOUR dream?
What do you dream for yourself? We become so wrapped up on taking care of others we forget to dream for ourselves. I asked myself this question recently and I really did not have an answer. All of my dreams related to others. I dreamed of happy lives for my children. I dreamed of contentment for my husband at his new job. I dreamed of a happy family. But what about that selfish seeming dream? Is it selfish to dream for ourselves? If it consumes all of our time, I am sure it is. We need to always dream, to hope and to pursue those dreams. It is what makes life fun and fulfilling.
Dreams can be very personal, something we may not want to share. We may be afraid that if it does not come true we have failed. No, we only fail ourselves when we do not have a dream. Nightmares can invade and push us down or hand us fear. Did you know that God does not want us to fear? "For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." (2 Tim 1:6-7)
Go out today and plant the seed of your dream! I want to, to find a way to open a path to my dream. Sure I am afraid, a fear of failure. I need a greater fear of failing myself by not even trying!!
