Carpe Diem!

First of all my lovelies, let me say a huge THANK YOU to you all!  I feel so incredibly blessed to have each of you here with me.  I can not express my gratitude in words, so I am going to have a giveaway....stay tuned!  But for now a huge hug to each of you!  I consider you all friends and I am one lucky girl!!!

We are on the last official day of spring break and we have a ton to still do on the barbwired beauty's room. Unfortunately, I have been sick will some crazy spring cold, so progress has halted.  I feel better today, so it is time the carpe some diem!!  STAT!

Have you ever wondered where the name barbwired comes from?  barb is our family....Bryan, Amber, Rachel and Brayden.  Since we always have something going, the wired seemed to fit.  Thus, barbwired!  We hope you like it, we do.

Today, I wanted to share with you my stumble upon.  The barbwired beauty aka Rachel, is being treated for TMJ.  She is having to wear an appliance that is requiring her to be on a soft food diet for 6 mos.  We have been searching for good nutrious options.  Ice cream is yes soft, but not a good continuous diet.  We have been looking for great tasting soups.   So if you have some, please share.

At times, she will come home for a quick lunch from school.  I have had to have options on hand.  Since we are not big canned soup fans (sorry Campbells), I have come up with one as quick as a canned variety with more flavor.

Here it is....

That is it, put all these in your pot with about 3 cups of water and season to taste.  We like chicken buillion and garlic salt in ours.  You should try it some time, it is quick, easy and tasty!

Have a blessed day!  Think of us as we remodel today.  Now we got some diem to carpe!

Hugs!   And Thank you again!!!

  2. Thanks for sharing your recipes. As for soft recipes....thank heaven for pasta! Yum! Also, load a baked potato with favs like broccoli and cheese or anything else you like. Good luck with the TMJ.
