SUPER Saturday!

What a beautiful day it was today!  Just the perfect day for barbwired boy to add water to dirt and squish in it.  I am so thankful for a dependable washer, haha.

Earlier in the day barbwired beauty and I went shopping for items to complete her room redo.  We found lots of fabulous stuff and will still be looking for more next week.  We at least have a plan and are so excited to get at it.

I am going to share with you a simple quick clock project for her room.  You may recall, from one of my first posts, I was able to find a clock at Goodwill for $2.00.  I loved the look of the clock but it definitely needed a face lift, bless it.  It was not functional, but I really could see her potential.  This is what she looked like before.

(Those two heart frames were intended for Valentine's.
You never saw them because I never got them completed.
Stay tuned for next year's VD crafting!  )

First of all, our neglected little beauty needed a bubble bath.
She was just a bit dirty.

I painted the filigree part of the clock black
and the face went silver.

Today, we found some gorgeous pink, black and silver bling
to complete this clock today.
Michael's had their "BLING" on sale for 40%  off.
You know this girl loves me a sale!
Full price, pashaw!!

This was super simple because each of these 6 rows of pink lusciousness
were all one piece.  I covered the entire face.
Then removed the center hole pink pretties for the clock works.

I then wanted to designate the 12, 3, 6 and 9 places on the clock.
So I cut the larger black crystals off here and added them.
(These were on clearance)

Here is the face with the black ice number spots added.

We also purchase the clock works.
The ones that were on the clock no longer functioned.
This was not on sale, but I had my handy lil' 40% off coupon.
We also wanted to purchase black clock hands.

I installed the clock movement kit
and then I decided to add sparkle to the hands also.
You just can not have too much sPaRkLe!

Once that was done, our little beauty was
refined and revived!  I love her!

We will show you pictures of her in her new home next week.

Here are the before and after pics....

So do you think she looks better?
